Philosophy Medicine Village Wanin Kaya Rao pene nete S.A.C.

At the core is the health of every living being. Wanin Kaya Rao supports people, regardless of their origin, on their life's journey based on the millennia-old Shipibo healing tradition.

The foundation consists of Master Plant Dietas tailored to individual needs, which can be supplemented by various applications such as herbal steam baths and/or wraps, flower baths, massages, energetic cleansing, and treatments with Agua Florida/Mapacho.

Ayahuasca ceremonies are an integral part of Shipibo healing art, meaning all guests are present during the ceremonies. Taking Ayahuasca is entirely voluntary and by no means necessary for a Master Plant Dieta.

The focus is on the individual Master Plant Dieta. Wanin Kaya Rao places great importance on preserving the countless medicinal plants and trees from the Amazon, and thus also on preserving millennia-old healing knowledge in the traditional application (Master Plant Dieta) of countless, almost forgotten medicinal plants and trees.

The traditional Shipibo Master Plant Diets (Dietas) serve to support holistic, spiritual experiences on physical, mental, and spiritual levels. This indigenous healing art enables people to recognize themselves again as part of nature, to respect the rhythms of life and nature, and to experience divine love within themselves.

Master Plant Diet (Dieta)

  • A Master Plant Diet is not a substitute for taking medical medication and/or receiving medical treatment.
  • Anyone undertaking a Master Plant Diet and/or participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies is obliged to inform Wanin Kaya Rao in advance about any past or present health conditions, as well as about the taking of medication/injections.
  • The taking, as well as the discontinuation of medication during a Master Plant Diet, must always be discussed in advance with our Maestro Curandero.

  • A Master Plant Diet (Dieta) is opened by the leading Maestro Curandero – from this moment on, all rules of a Master Plant Diet must be strictly observed

  • A Master Plant Diet (Dieta) must be closed by our leading Maestro Curandero, even in the event of a premature termination of a stay before leaving the medicine village. Thus, every Master Plant Diet has a clear beginning and a clear on-site completion.

  • Post-Dieta: Every Master Plant Diet includes a Post-Dieta of 6 months. Every person who begins a Master Plant Diet commits to strictly observing the rules of the Post-Dieta with personal responsibility.
  • A Master Plant Diet (Dieta) can encompass various areas of application, which are compiled and tailored to individual needs:

  • the intake of various Amazonian medicinal plants/trees (there are also diets that do not require the intake of plant medicine)
  • Medicinal steam baths – and/or wraps
  • Bone massages,
  • Energetic suction
  • Treatments with Aguaflorida and/or Mapacho

Physical, mental, and spiritual processes

A Master Plant diet triggers physical, mental, and spiritual processes. The medicine directly targets areas in the body where bacteria, viruses, inflammation, and negative energies are present: in Shipibo healing, these are called the "cold spots in the body" (the places where life energy is weakened).

During a Master Plant diet, the medicine & the immune system work at "full throttle," which is why the following physical and emotional detoxification processes may occur:

  • Severe fatigue/exhaustion
  • Intense heat (possibly a slight fever): the body burns and expels toxins
  • Headaches (more common in men)
  • Lower abdominal pain (more common in women)
  • Muscle/Bone pain (similar to growing pains in childhood)
  • Diarrhea/Constipation (in this case, please report it, as a dosage adjustment of the medicine may be necessary)
  • Vomiting
  • Temporary dizziness
  • Loss of appetite / or increased appetite
  • Emergence of emotions and various emotional states

Additionally, detoxification processes can lead to the following temporary symptoms:

  • Skin rashes / itching
  • Inflammation of various body parts
  • Discharge of secretions from all body orifices
  • Abscesses

If symptoms occur that cannot be attributed to the normal process, the Maestro Curandero must be informed to clarify whether the reactions are part of the personal treatment process or if an allergic reaction or other reasons are present, and the treatment needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Wanin Kaya Rao assumes no responsibility for symptoms arising from disregard of plant rules, non-compliance with dosage instructions, or failure to adhere to discussed medication intake/cessation.

Ayahuasca Ceremonies

Ayahuasca (ONI) is the traditional plant medicine that opens the door to the spiritual world, from which the Maestros Curanderos and Maestras Curanderas work with the powers of the master plants

Ayahuasca is part of traditional Shipibo healing art and was originally taken exclusively by Shipibo master healers for the purpose of their healing work.

Every Ayahuasca ceremony is 100% led and protected by the entire Shipibo medicine family, who have been great Curanderos/Curanderas in the Shipibo healing tradition for generations. During the Ayahuasca ceremonies, the Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas work with each guest on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. It is the Curanderos/Curanderas who specifically guide the plant energies, Ayahuasca, and thus the entire ceremony and its processes.

Presence at the Ayahuasca (ONI) ceremonies is an integral part of a master plant retreat, even if the Shipibo ancestral medicine is not consumed. The consumption of Ayahuasca (ONI) is entirely voluntary and is not required for a master plant retreat

The consumption of Ayahuasca is discussed beforehand with our Maestro Curandero, based on the health information provided in the registration form. Wanin Kaya Rao reserves the right to decide, even during the retreat, if or when someone can take Ayahuasca.

If a Maestro Curandero permits someone to take Ayahuasca, that person can always decide for themselves whether they wish to consume it. This decision can be re-discussed and made before each ceremony.

Rules for Ayahuasca Ceremonies

  • Ayahuasca may only be consumed in the presence of the Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas and under their protection and guidance.

  • Silence and meditation for at least 1 hour before the ceremony.

  • Everyone must have their personal Aguaflorida with them.

  • The Maestros Curanderos and Maestras Curanderas determine if and how much of the ancestral medicine Ayahuasca an individual may consume.

  • The Maloka must NOT be left unattended.: Going outside is only permitted with an escort (excluding trips to the restroom).

  • Help from a Maestro Curandero is available to everyone at all times: if needed, always ask for help.

  • Focus on yourself: everyone is in their own personal process and does not need to worry about anyone else.

  • The ceremonies are 100% guided by our Maestros Curanderos and Maestras Curanderas, and they attend to each individual person.

  • During a ceremony, it is not permitted to touch or speak to other participants.

  • The ceremony room (Maloka) may only be left once the Maestros Curanderos and Maestras Curanderas have completed their work and have given permission to leave the room after assessing the individual's condition.

  • Each participant has an escort available to walk them back to their cabin.

  • It is possible to stay overnight in the ceremony room (Maloka)

  • During ceremonies, the Maestros Curanderos and Maestras Curanderas work very deeply (as if in an operating room) – this requires utmost concentration. The Maestros may communicate with each other during the ceremony.

  • The Maestros Curanderos also work with other patients remotely, which is why mobile phones are now part of their work.

  • The Maestros Curanderos absorb all negative energies and then cleanse themselves of them. This is why they may also spit or vomit during ceremonies.

Working with Icaros (sacred songs) in Ayahuasca ceremonies

An ICARO is the sound medicine that comes directly from the plants and trees themselves.
The Shipibo masters work very precisely with the vibrational power of the medicinal plant songs (ICARO's) in every Ayahuasca ceremony. Everyone receives 1-3 very personal Icaros in each ceremony. For this, the respective Maestro Curandero sits or stands in front of the person and works very individually through the Icaros.

Rules for singing during an Ayahuasca ceremony

Generally, all participants may also sing themselves during a ceremony, within the following guidelines:

  • appropriate volume that does not disturb participants in their processes
  • Moments of silence are welcome
  • no animal sounds or other noises that deviate significantly from singing may be produced
  • while the Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas are singing over individuals, singing is not permitted or only at a minimal volume
  • if the Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas explicitly request silence, singing is not permitted
  • once the ceremony has officially ended, participants may sing freely and play instruments

General information about Ayahuasca (ONI) and its effects

Ayahuasca is called ONI in the traditional Shipibo language and is the ancient medicine which, in the understanding of the millennia-old Shipibo culture, opens the gate to the spiritual world, from which the Shipibo masters work with plant powers and their healing songs (Icaros).

Ayahuasca may only be taken under the guidance of Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas, and after a careful assessment of one's health condition.

For example, Ayahuasca must not be taken during

  • invasive therapies (injections/infusions)
  • Use of antidepressants
  • Use of drugs/stimulants such as MDMA, amphetamines, cocaine, alcohol, cannabis
  • severe cardiovascular diseases
  • severe psychological conditions
  • severe chronic illnesses

In the medicine village Wanin Kaya Rao, the Shipibo ancestral medicine is prepared from the vine *Banisteriopsis caapi* (Ayahuasca) and the leaves of the shrub *Psychotria viridis*

(Chacruna). In the medicine village, no other plants are added to Ayahuasca (ONI).

Regarding the Effects of Ayahuasca

Cleansing (Liberation), Transformation & New Awareness

Ayahuasca, sometimes called "Mother of Life," has a very strong cleansing effect on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The primary purpose of Ayahuasca medicine is to remove everything from a person that is not "FOR LIFE" and thus blocks a person's life flow.

On a physical level, the following experiences may occur:

  • Initially, your heart rate may increase
  • Tingling throughout the body
  • Expansion of hearing (altered perception of acoustics)
  • Expansion and alteration of bodily sensation
  • Nausea and/or vomiting (strong cleansing)
  • Frequent trips to the toilet: cleansing via the intestines
  • Sweating (cleansing)
  • Increased yawning (cleansing)
  • Trembling, twitching of various limbs (trauma release = cleansing)
  • Chills (cleansing of cold spots in the body/mind)
  • Moving body parts
  • in very rare, brief cases, fainting (trauma response)

Visions – spiritual perceptions

Ayahuasca expands consciousness as well as all sensory perceptions.

One's entire bodily sensation can change, even leading to the transformation or dissolution of the physical body. Visions may open through the third eye, revealing the patterns of songs or even the patterns of one's own body. For some, various levels of the spiritual world may open, allowing them to experience animated nature (plants, animals, and/or elemental beings). Visions can also reveal conscious and unconscious aspects of one's inner world: this can be experienced through abstract motifs as well as clearly recognizable images and scenarios. The visions can be a deep inner journey, sometimes bringing forth long-forgotten, detailed memories, or allowing for perinatal or transpersonal experiences. In connection with physical and spiritual healing processes, experiences of dying and being reborn can also occur. During a ceremony, intensified positive as well as negative/difficult emotions may be experienced, which can be part of the cleansing and transformation processes of physical, psychological, and spiritual blockages and pain. Some visions and emotional states experienced are part of deep spiritual and emotional cleansing, liberation, and transformation processes.

Important:

Every person and every ceremony is unique. There is no comparison, as every life, every body, every mind, every story, every soul, every destiny is unique.

Experiences through Ayahuasca Ceremonies

There are ceremonies, especially if someone has never drunk Ayahuasca before, in which no visionary effects are perceived. This in no way means that the work of the Maestros Curanderos/Maestras Curanderas with Ayahuasca and the master plants has no effect; on the contrary – often the effect of the work from the ceremonies unfolds in the following days, through dreams, intuitions, and new insights and perspectives on oneself and life.

Generally, Ayahuasca experiences, as well as every master plant retreat, do not unfold linearly, but rather each person goes through different phases (processes): some of which are

more pleasant, sometimes even euphoric, while others are more difficult and very strenuous.

During a master plant retreat as well as in Ayahuasca ceremonies, very deep work is done on all levels: deep transformational processes of unconscious/conscious traumas can be experienced on physical, mental, and spiritual levels, and thus it is not uncommon to experience psychological and physical discomfort during and after the ceremonies. This can even be seen as very positive, as these are typical symptoms of a healing process.

Integration Circles

Regular integration circles and individual coaching sessions are offered by a trained therapeutic team to support the integration of experiences with master plants and Ayahuasca ceremonies.

Mapacho

Mapacho is the ancestral tobacco plant from the Amazon in Peru. Mapacho and Ayahuasca belong together in the Shipibo tradition. Mapacho is an integral part of Shipibo healing work with all medicinal plants. Mapacho is a powerful carrier of information and is considered, among other things, a great cleansing and protective force.

Mapacho is used by the Maestros Curanderos/Curanderas during Ayahuasca ceremonies, with all medicinal plant applications, and also during every conversation.

Guests receive a detailed introduction to the traditional use of Mapacho, and it is entirely up to each individual whether they wish to work with Mapacho themselves or not.

Aguaflorida

Aguaflorida is a flower water used by the Shipibo masters. Each guest receives their own Aguaflorida, which is sung over by the head Maestro Curandero in every ceremony. The use of Aguaflorida is part of the healing work in the Master Plant Cure.

Rules of a Master Plant Cure (Dieta) & Post-Dieta

A Master Plant Cure can only begin if the respective person, in a separate document (contract) with Wanin Kaya Rao pene nete S.A.C., agrees to all the following information and points and confirms this with their signature.

A cure with the powerful energies of the Master Plants from the Amazon initiates deep cleansing, transformation, and renewal processes on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.

A Master Plant Cure in the medicine village is a sacred time. It is a time of deep introspection and surrender to all processes that will unfold for an individual.

Each Master Plant Cure is carefully guided and takes place within the protected setting of the medicine village. Each cure has a clear beginning and a clear end: this period is also called "Dieta".

Important Rules of a Master Plant Cure

For the powerful plant energies and the work of the Maestros Curanderos to be effective, there are rules that must be strictly observed during the "Dieta" period and the 6-month post-treatment period for the integration of the cure. • The analysis of whether a Cruzada is present and how long the Dieta lasts, costs 400 Soles (approx. 100 Euros)
